Essential storage
Browser storage includes cookies, local storage and session storage. We use the storage needed to keep a signed-in session working, retain the estimate draft you are completing and remember your cookie preference.
- Account sessions: authentication storage lets installer and admin users stay signed in and access their own workspace.
- Estimate drafts: answers can be kept in browser storage so you can continue or review the journey. Submitting a request sends that request to our service. The postcode coverage check also sends your postcode before any request is submitted.
- Cookie preference: a local browser record remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional measurement, with the time and version of that choice.
Session storage normally lasts for that browser tab's session. Local storage can remain until the site or you remove it. Authentication sessions have their own expiry and can be ended by signing out. Clearing site data may remove your draft and sign you out.
Optional first-party measurement
If you opt in, first-party measurement can record events such as an estimate being opened or a step being completed. The preference is separate from consent to share an enquiry and from any marketing choice. You can use the estimate and request introductions without accepting measurement.
There is no advertising measurement, social pixel or third-party analytics service. Optional measurement is off when there is no readable saved permission. Rejecting it must not prevent you using the service.
The event system is being introduced as part of the pilot. Accepting the preference does not mean every page currently sends events. Measurement events should not contain your name, email, phone, full postcode or free-text answers.
Our shared page layout uses system fonts. Google Maps may load its own fonts and other resources.
Google Maps
Google Maps loads automatically on the installer working-area step after CoolMatch finds a valid district centre for your entered postcode. Google may use cookies or similar technologies. Cookie preferences control website measurement only; they are not consent for Google Maps.
Manual postcode entry is available if the map cannot load. See Map privacy for data use and Google's policies. The map's privacy review is required before live use.
Change your choice
Use the button below, or the cookie preferences link in the footer. Accept and reject have equal prominence. A new choice applies to future optional events; it does not delete an enquiry or data already submitted.
You can also clear this site's cookies and storage in your browser settings. Preferences are browser-specific. If you clear them or use a different browser, measurement starts off again until you opt in.
Security and service records
Hosting, authentication and abuse-prevention services may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. A saved enquiry, account record or confirmation email is not optional site measurement. The privacy notice explains these uses.
The pilot's provider and retention review must be completed before public launch. This notice does not claim that the review or automated deletion has already been completed.
